JDR Painting Enhances Horlick High School with Expert New Construction Finishes
JDR Painting is proud to work with JP Cullen to contribute to the transformation of Horlick High School in Racine, Wisconsin, as part of the Racine Unified School District’s historic $1 billion referendum aimed at upgrading and modernizing school facilities across the district. Our team is providing new construction painting services throughout key areas of the school, including the auditorium, fitness center, classrooms, and general common spaces.
Led by foreman Dustin and project manager Randy Sharkey, JDR’s crew is applying high-performance finishes that meet the demands of modern educational environments while supporting the school’s long-term sustainability goals. Our work is designed to elevate both form and function—creating vibrant, durable spaces where students and staff can thrive.
As part of the larger renovation plan, Horlick’s 1928 wing is being removed and replaced with a state-of-the-art, two-story addition to expand student capacity and improve functionality. The existing pool is also being repurposed into a dedicated girls’ varsity locker room, while extensive classroom upgrades are being completed to support flexible, 21st-century learning.
Since 2013, JDR Painting has been Southeast Wisconsin’s trusted name in commercial, industrial, institutional, and retail painting services. Our team of skilled union craftsmen specializes in expert painting and wallcovering techniques, with a commitment to quality, service, and safety.
From schools to healthcare facilities and beyond, JDR Painting delivers exceptional results that stand the test of time. We’re honored to help bring Racine Unified’s vision to life and contribute to a stronger future for students and the community.
