JDR Painting was proud to participate in the first-ever Interactive Career Fair.
Hosted by the Tri County Contractors Association (TCCA) in partnership with Central High School, this hands-on event was designed to introduce students to careers in the skilled trades and provide real-world exposure to industry opportunities.
As part of the event, JDR invested time and materials to create a custom demonstration setup that showcased both painting and staining techniques. Students had the opportunity to engage directly with professional tools and processes, including the use of an airless sprayer as well as brushing and rolling techniques. This interactive experience allowed students to gain a better understanding of the skills and craftsmanship involved in the painting trade.
In addition to the hands-on component, the JDR team provided valuable information about career pathways in the industry, including wages, benefits, safety practices, and the first steps toward becoming a professional painter. Team members were available throughout the event to answer questions and share insights from their own experience in the field.
This event reflects JDR Painting’s commitment to supporting the next generation of skilled trades professionals and investing in the future of the industry. By creating opportunities for students to explore the painting trade firsthand, JDR hopes to help spark interest, build awareness, and encourage more young people to consider a rewarding career in the trades.
